A striking composition featuring a silkscreened Punga frond set against a burn orange cross. Meticulously hand-built from rich black stoneware clay, then layered with white slip and a celadon glaze to create depth, texture, and subtle contrast.

The ponga or punga fronds numerous purposes include, Maori medicine, antiaging properties, marking trails at night, construction materials and a food source — hence invoking a deep connection to Aotearoa’s landscape and heritage.
