Each piece in our black stoneware collection is a handcrafted tribute to New Zealand’s unique natural heritage. Inspired by the Tauhou — also known as the Wax-eye, Silvereye, or White-eye — this artwork honors the quiet resilience of a species that journeyed from Australia in the 1800s and made Aotearoa its home.

Crafted in New Zealand using premium stoneware clay, every piece undergoes a meticulous three-stage firing process: bisque-fired at 1000°C, glazed at 1200°C, and finished with decals at 800°C — ensuring the permanence of each intricate design.

Our visual storytelling combines original photography, transformed into silkscreen prints, with delicate white slips and celadon glazes. The result is a refined, minimalist expression of place, memory, and identity — capturing the essence of New Zealand in timeless ceramic form.
